Lean IT complements other best practices. It's about understanding how to evaluate business processes to find and remove waste. Lean IT Foundation certification provides the basic knowledge needed to support a Lean strategy in IT organizations. Candidates will learn about the Lean philosophy, how it identifies and eliminates waste in processes, performance measurement, and more. The focus of this exam is on applying Lean IT principles.

E-Course Duration:

Exam Information

The test has 40 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you need to get 65% of them right, which means answering at least 26 questions correctly.

  • You can take the exams online from anywhere and at any time. They're supervised using a webcam and require a good internet connection.

  • The exam lasts for 1 hour, which is the same as 60 minutes.

  • During the exam with ProctorU, you can't use any outside sources of information. They'll give you more details about what materials you're allowed to have, like your ID.

  • If you don't pass the exam on your second try, you have to wait for at least fourteen (14) days before you can take it again for the third time or any time after that. You can take the exam as many times as you need to.

  • The Lean IT Foundation Certificate doesn't expire; it's valid forever.

  • LITF is a trademark owned by GIPMC.

  • N/A

  • The Lean IT Foundation Certification doesn't require any prerequisites (You don't have to do an E-Course from GIPMC portal), but we strongly suggest taking the E-Course because most of the questions in the real exam are based on it.

    • What is and how to apply 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)

    • Visual Workplace (eliminate visual and mental noise)

    • Be able to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your organization
    • Be able to initiate, document, and implement process improvements
    • Reduce costs by eliminating waste and inefficiencies in your IT infrastructure and processes
    • Increase productivity through improved resource management
    • Increase user and customer satisfaction by focusing on delivering value

Target Audience

  • Any roles from service desk analysts through to process owners, team leads and supervisors, department managers and also including CIOs, have taken this course and benefited greatly from a deeper understanding of how to assess business processes to identify and eliminate waste. This exam is designed for managers or IT professionals working in organizations that would benefit from adopting a Lean approach. It is recommended that candidates have a background of 2 to 3 years’ experience in the field of IT service management
