Certification Overview

The GIPMC Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP)® Credential is given to people who show they have a lot of knowledge and experience in managing information and ensuring technology works well. CITP® Credential holders are really good at assessing risks, preventing fraud, controlling internal processes, and managing information for their company or employer. This certification recognizes expertise in various areas of business technology, including planning, development, implementation, security, and regulation.

E-Course Duration:

Exam Information

  • The test has 40 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you need to get 28 out of 40 questions right, which is 70% correct.

  • The exam is open book, meaning you can use your study materials during the test. You can take the exam from anywhere and at any time, as long as you have internet access and a web browser.

  • The exam lasts for one hour, which is 60 minutes in total.

  • N/A

  • If you don't pass the GIPMC exam on your second try, you have to wait at least fourteen days before trying again. After that, you can take the exam as many times as you need.

  • Once you receive the GiPM Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP)® Certificate, it stays valid for your entire life.

  • CITP® is a trademark owned by GIPMC.

  • N/A

  • While you don't need any specific requirements for the GIPMC CITP® exam, it's recommended that participants have at least two years of real work experience in an IT infrastructure or operations department. They should also have knowledge of systems, networks, and/or application management.
