Certification Overview

Exam Information

  • The test has 70 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you need to get 46 out of 70 questions right, which is 65% correct.

  • The exams are done online and supervised, using a webcam and a good internet connection. You can take the exams from anywhere and at any time.

  • The exam lasts for an hour and a half, which is 90 minutes in total.

  • During the exam monitored by GIPMC through ProctorU, you can't look up anything online. They'll tell you what kind of ID you need to show.

  • If a candidate doesn't pass the GIPMC exam on their second try, they have to wait at least fourteen days before trying again. After that, they can take the exam as many times as they need.

  • Once you earn the GIPMC Linux Certified Engineer (LCM)™ Certificate, it stays valid for your entire life.

  • LCM™ is a trademark owned by GIPMC.

  • N/A

  • Please note: You don't need any specific requirements to get the GIPMC Linux Certified Professional (LCP)™ Certification. However, we strongly suggest taking the E-Course because most of the exam questions come from there.
