Certification Overview

The Professional in Project Management (PMC)™ certification covers various project management aspects, such as planning, execution, control, and completion. Obtaining the Professional in Project Management (PMC)™ certification demonstrates to employers that you meet recognized standards of knowledge and experience in project management. While many project managers gain experience through on-the-job training, obtaining the Professional in Project Management (PPM)™ certification allows professionals to acquire new knowledge and techniques. It boosts their confidence and earns them respect and recognition among peers. The E-Course for this certification typically lasts for 45 to 50 hours. Additionally, the certification aligns with the e-Competence Framework (e-CF), which outlines skills and competencies required in the digital age.

E-Course Duration: 45 to 50 hours

Exam Information

  • The exam has 150 multiple choice questions. To pass, you need to get 113 of them right, which is 75% of the total. The PPM™ certification exam is known as one of the toughest for Project Managers. Usually, 7 out of 10 project managers fail the exam the first time they take it.

  • Tests are done online and supervised using a webcam and good internet. You can take them from any place and at any time.

  • The exam lasts for 2 hours, which is the same as 120 minutes.

  • During the ProctorU exam, you can't look at any outside information. They'll tell you what materials you're allowed to have, like your ID.

  • If you don't pass the exam on your second try, you have to wait at least fourteen (14) days before you can take it again for the third (3rd) time or any time after that. You can take the exam as many times as you need to. 

  • The Professional in Project Management (PPM)™ Certificate is valid for five (5) years. To keep it current, you can either retake the exam or complete the PPM E-Course to earn continuing education units (CEUs). Renewing your certificate will help you maintain your professional status and credentials. Remember, certificates must be renewed before they expire to stay active. You can take the exam as many times as you need to.
