Certification Overview

The Professional in Program Management (PPgM) certification validates expertise in managing and coordinating multiple projects to achieve strategic goals. E-Course Duration: 50 to 55 Hours

Exam Information

  • The test has 100 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you need to get 80% of them right, which means answering 80 questions correctly out of 100. The PPgM certification exam is known as one of the toughest exams for both mid-level and high-level project managers to pass.

  • You can take the exams online with a webcam and a good internet connection. This means you can take the exams from anywhere and at any time.

  • The exam lasts for 80 minutes, which is the same as 1 hour and 20 minutes.

  • During the exam with ProctorU, you can't use any outside sources for information. They'll tell you what materials you're allowed to have, like your ID.

  • If you don't pass the exam on your second try, you need to wait at least fourteen (14) days before you can try again for the third time or any time after that. You can take the exam as many times as you need to.

  • A Professional in Program Management (PPgM)® Certificate is valid for five (5) years. To keep the certificate active, the candidate can either retake the exam or complete the E-Course for PPgM to earn continuing education units (CEUs). Renewing the certificate before it expires helps the candidate maintain their professional status and credentials. It's important to renew the certificate before it becomes inactive.

  • A Professional in Program Management (PPgM)® Certificate is valid for five (5) years. To keep the certificate active, the candidate can either retake the exam or complete the E-Course for PPgM to earn continuing education units (CEUs). Renewing the certificate before it expires helps the candidate maintain their professional status and credentials. It's important to renew the certificate before it becomes inactive.

  • Passing the PPgM exam will also give candidates 4 credits and 25 learning hours that can count towards an MBA (Master's Degree) from Charisma University.

  • To get the  Professional in Program Management (PPgM)® Certification, you must complete a mandatory E-Course. It's important because many questions in the actual exam come from this course.
  • You need to meet the following requirements:
  • 1. Have a Bachelor's degree or higher from a university.
  • 2. Additionally, you must have one of the following certifications and submit a copy to candidate.registrations@gipm.org:
  • - A Professional in Program Management (PPgM)™ from Global Association for Quality Management (GAQM)
  • - A Professional in Program Management (PPgM)® from Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • - Prince2® Practitioner from Axelos
  • - Certified Project Manager (CPM) from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)
