E-Course Duration: 20 to 25 Hours

Exam Information

  • The test has 100 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you need to get 80% of them right, which means answering 80 questions correctly out of 100. The PPD certification exam is known as one of the toughest exams for both mid-level and high-level project managers to pass.

  • You can take the exams online with a webcam and a good internet connection. This means you can take the exams from anywhere and at any time.

  • The exam lasts for 80 minutes, which is the same as 1 hour and 20 minutes.

  • During the exam with ProctorU, you can't use any outside sources for information. They'll tell you what materials you're allowed to have, like your ID.

  • If you don't pass the exam on your second try, you need to wait at least fourteen (14) days before you can try again for the third time or any time after that. You can take the exam as many times as you need to.

  • The Professional Project Director (PPD)® Certificate is valid for five (5) years. To keep the certificate active, the candidate can either retake the exam or complete the E-Course for PPD to earn continuing education units (CEUs). Renewing the certificate before it expires helps the candidate maintain their professional status and credentials. It's important to renew the certificate before it becomes inactive.

  • PPD® is a trademark owned by GIPMC.

  • Passing the PPD exam will also give candidates 4 credits and 25 learning hours that can count towards an MBA (Master's Degree) from Charisma University.

  • To get the Professional Project Director (PPD)® Certification, you must complete a mandatory E-Course. It's important because many questions in the actual exam come from this course.
