Certification Overview

Sure, here's a rephrased version: Software professionals worldwide are really enthusiastic about Scrum. But, Scrum isn't just a passing trend in the IT industry. It's actually a great way to manage projects in a flexible and efficient manner, ultimately creating products that customers love. However, while Scrum Masters are in high demand and seeing their salaries rise, traditional Project Manager salaries seem to be staying the same. So, who exactly is a Scrum Master? Well, a Scrum Master, certified by GIPMC, is someone who has proven their knowledge of Scrum and their ability to apply it in real-world situations. Now, why become a certified Scrum Master with GiPM? Well, recent data shows that Scrum Masters are earning even more than Project Managers these days. In fact, their salaries have been steadily increasing over time. Back in 2009, a ScrumMaster made around $88,000 annually. But now, on average, they're making $95,000 a year – that's a $7,000 increase! Scrum's success comes from its focus on: 1. Prioritizing individuals and interactions over strict processes and tools. 2. Delivering working software over extensive documentation. 3. Emphasizing customer collaboration rather than getting bogged down in contract negotiations. 4. Being adaptable and responsive to change, rather than sticking rigidly to a plan.

E-Course Duration: 20 to 25 Hours

Exam Information

  • The test has 40 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you have to get 65% of them right, which means you need to answer at least 26 out of 40 correctly.

  • Tests happen online, and a webcam watches you during them. As long as your internet stays steady, you can take the tests from anywhere and whenever you want.

  • The test goes on for 1 hour, which is the same as 60 minutes.

  • When you take the exam at a Pearson Vue Test Center, you can't use any outside sources for information. But, you need to bring proof of identification with you.

  • If someone doesn't pass the exam on their second try, they have to wait at least fourteen (14) days before they can try again for the third time or any more tries after that. You can take the exam as many times as you need to.

  • The Certified Software Tester - Foundation Level Certificate is good for four (4) years before it needs to be renewed.

  • Note: You don't need to have completed an E-Course from the GIPMC portal to get the Certified Software Tester – Foundation Level Certification. However, we highly suggest taking the E-Course because a lot of questions on the real exam are based on it.
  • (Easy language: You don't have to do a special online course from GIPMC to get the certification, but we suggest doing it because it helps with the exam.)
