E-Course Duration: 30 to 35 Hours

Exam Information

  • The test has 100 questions where you choose the correct answer from multiple options. To pass, you need to get 75% of the questions right, which means answering at least 75 out of 100 questions correctly.

  • Tests are done online and supervised with a webcam. With a good internet connection, you can take the exam from anywhere and at any time.

  • The exam lasts for 2 hours, which is the same as 120 minutes.

  • During the exam monitored by ProctorU, you can't use any outside resources. More information about the allowed materials, like ID proof, will be provided.

  • If someone doesn't pass the exam on their second try, they have to wait at least fourteen days before they can take it again for the third time or any time after that. You can take the exam as many times as you need to.

  • The Certified Real Estate Executive (CREE)® credential stays valid for your whole life.

  • CREM® is a trademark registered by GIPMC.

  • N/A

  • The GIPMC Certified Real Estate Executive (CREE)® Certification doesn't require any prerequisites (You don't have to finish an E-Course from GIPMCBok portal), but we strongly suggest taking the E-Course because most questions in the real exam come from it.

Course Outline Module1- Fundamental Mathematics and Business Writing

    • Apply knowledge of statistics and probability to critically interrogate and effectively communicate findings on life related problems
    • Represent analyse and calculate shape and motion in 2-and 3-dimensional space in different contexts
    • Use mathematics to investigate and monitor the financial aspects of personal, business, national and international issues
    • Use the writing process to compose texts required in the business environment

Module 2 - Fundamental Business Communication

    • Accommodate audience and context needs in oral/signed communication
    • Interpret a variety of literary texts
    • Interpret and use information from texts
    • Write/present/sign texts for a range of communicative contexts

Module 3 - Business Communication

    • Engage in sustained oral/signed communication and evaluate spoken/signed texts
    • Read/view, analyse and respond to a variety of texts
    • Write/present/sign for a wide range of contexts

Module 4 - Real Estate Environment

    • Advise role players on Real Estate financing options
    • Apply business principles to the Real Estate function
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the Real Estate environment
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the legislation applicable to real estate practice

Module 5 - Real Estate Legislation

    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 2002 (FAIS) (Act 37 of 2002) as it impacts on a specific financial services sub-sector
    • Explain laundering legislation and the implications for accountable institutions in transacting with clients
    • Manage self-development in a Real Estate environment
    • Market, sell and lease property
    • Demonstrate knowledge of and apply the Real Estate Code of Conduct and ethics

    • Employ a systematic approach to achieving objectives
